The theme of the Conference is “Thoracic Oncology: Translating Research into Practice” with special emphasis on Lung Cancer
The scientific programme features 3 days of intense academic activities spanning didactic lectures, live workshops, panel discussions to proffered poster presentation. The conference boasts of erudite international and national faculty practicing in Thoracic Oncology.
The educational programme will address the contemporary and critical issues, and recent advancements pertaining to the needs of practicing medical oncologist, surgical oncologist, radiation oncologist, pathologist and radiologist at all levels and postgraduate students.
The Conference will address the advancements in the treatment modalities along with current and evolving genomic and molecular biomarkers that can be used for prognostic and informed clinical decision-making.
The conference will provide a platform to learn from and interact with top minds, which will help the participants in refining their practicing strategies for improved patient care.

It is a matter of great honor and privilege, that Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCI&RC) is organizing “RGCON 2019”, the 18th Annual International Conference to be held in Delhi on 8th to 10th February 2019. The theme of conference is: “Thoracic Oncology- Translating Research into Practice”
RGCI&RC is a premier and a leading cancer institute in India offering top-notch treatments for compassionate and patient-centric care through innovation, precision medicine, clinical research, breakthrough science and leading-edge technology.

There will be sessions for scientific exhibition. Abstracts for poster are to be submitted online
through the conference website only (www.rgcon2019.com) latest by 20th January 2019.
Registration is mandatory before submitting an abstract and submission should be as per the abstract format
All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee and the accepted abstracts will be listed on the conference website by 31st January 2019. and will be intimated to the author.
The decision of the scientific committee will be final and no correspondence will be entertained/ answered.
Top 5 abstracts will be selected for the oral presentation in the conference on 10/02/2019 (Sunday), of which best 3 papers will get attractive awards.
Registration fee of the first 100 accepted abstracts will be waived off and the amount will be reimbursed by cheque/ cash/ wire transfer with prior notification to the delegate.
Abstracts should not be more than 250 words.
Abstracts should be structured to include the following 4 sections:
One can submit more than one abstracts.
Abstracts once submitted shall not be available for editing.
Presenters shall be notified of acceptance of the abstract by email.
If the presenter wishes to withdraw the abstract, he/she can do so request in writing to conference secretariat (email@example.com).

This potent combination of man and machine ensures world-class cancer care to not only patients from India, but also from the neighboring SAARC countries and others. We are fortunate to have taken care of over 2 Lakh patients since inception in 1996. The Institute offers super specialized tertiary care services in Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncology, streamlined into dedicated Site-Specific teams. Spread over nearly 2 lakh square feet area, with a current capacity of 300 beds, RGCIRC is one of the largest tertiary cancer care centres in the continent. The Institute’s outpatient services are spread on three floors with 57 consultation rooms, and well designed Radiation Therapy areas. RGCIRC has 8 state-of-the-art well equipped modular Operation Theatres with three stage air filtration and gas scavenging systems, and 2 Minor Operation Theatres for Day Care Surgeries. The Institute has 27 bedded Surgical ICU and an 11 bedded Medical ICU. RGCIRC has a dedicated Leukemia ward, and a separate Thyroid Ward. The Institute also boasts of an independent Bone Marrow Transplant unit that is credited with pioneering unrelated donor transplants, MUD transplants, and stem cell transplants. Supportive facilities such as Renal Replacement therapies, various endoscopies (including EBUS and Endoscopic Ultrasound) are also available.

The Institute offers best in class techniques such as whole-body robotic surgery, Intra-Operative Brachytherapy, True Beam (the next generation Image Guided Radiation Therapy), PET – MRI fusion, High Frequency Ultrasound, Tomosynthesis (first-of-its-kind revolutionary 3D mammography machine), Nucleic Acid Testing (for safest possible blood), and advanced diagnostic & imaging techniques, including PET CT, Circulating Tumor Cell testing, and Next Generation Sequencing.
